I mean, the smoothies didn't taste great to me, but you know, it grew on me. This occurred mostly because of Jamba's advertising towards the nutritional value of their drinks. Me, being the healthy figure of the God's that I am, decided that as long as I'm drinking something healthy, I can ignore that average taste. Needless to say I got hooked and would still be drinking Jamba Juice to this day if it were not for me actually checking the nutritional facts in one of their stores. What did I find? Yes, Jamba Juices are loaded with some decent vitamins and proteins, but they are also loaded, and I mean loaded with sugar. Of Jamba's selection basically all of them have at least 30grams of sugar in the smallest size. When you go a size larger it's somewhere around 60g and so on. This is not healthy for you. If one were to drink a Jamba Juice any given day and eat normally otherwise l (which is likely to include some sugar here and there) the FDA says that you've consumed way more sugar than you should for your daily value. Now, I'm not saying I still don't like Jamba Juice and that it doesn't have some health value to it, but to advertise as such a healthy drink is irresponsible and absurd. By principle I cannot continue to support an such an organization until they clean up their act. If they're going to make a nutritional product, then get rid of the sugar. If they're going to make a sugary drink, then say so. ~ANT |
