You'll have to imagine his scraggly voice of course. It may surprise you but I view Yoda's interpretation of a logical hate progression as somewhat valid, minus the dark side crap. If you want to know where hate comes from it's evident that the source is confusion. Why would anyone be afraid of, say, the dark? Perhaps it is because they're not sure what's happening in the dark, things are confusing, which causes the body to fear the dark in defense, and in turn come to hate the dark because it brings upon them fear. There is a lot of hate in the world today, hate against people with alternative lifestyles, hate against people that don't believe the same thing you do, etc...hate against people that use "etc". Some groups and people, perhaps even close to home believe they can fight hate with hate, or fight violence with violence. If such logic is flawed or not I will leave up to you, but a convincing alternate solution is education; the embracing of fears and understanding of them. Hate is not innate, it can be uncloaked. Perhaps through understanding, and unmasking confusion we can see that the scary shadow in the night, that we have come to hate, is merely our own imagination. ~Bob |
