| 07/12/06 Ant Ant Defies Malice It would seem that society has developed many qualms about telling people how it is. It's interesting that the truth has become something that is not always the best thing to say. When a wife asks a husband how she looks he is inclined to lie and say that she looks wonderful even when she looks like a tollbooth in drag. Sure the man is looking out for his and his wife's "best" interest in the long run but is it really the best? I say, no way! If someone is a complete failure or a champion of grotesque, and the inquire about themselves, lay it the hell on them. If society wants to grow in anyway then we have to stop faking that we're doing the right thing. If people pretend that they are something that they are not then they are lying to themselves, and not moving forward at all. That being said, I make no stabs at what is right and wrong, one man's orange is another man's bed... But we cannot continually play the game if we want any hope at progress.
